This tribute to the American soldier took place Veterans Day weekend Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th at Tipton Haynes State Historic Site, Johnson City. The event ran from 10 am to 4 pm daily, was free and featured battle re-enactments, weapons demos, military vehicles and more. There were opportunities to visit displays of Soldiers in the Field with representations from Revolutionary War to Modern Day. This year’s event highlighted the 75th Anniversary of V/E and V/ J DAY (Victory in Europe and Victory in Japan), commemorating the end of WWII.
