the War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and our present day mission preparedness.
Our mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of the American Soldier, Sailor, Airman and Marine over our Nation’s History through living history impressions, encampments, and
in Veterans recognition programs, lecture series and battle recreations.

A Walk in Their Boots will host its
12th annual All-Era Military Timeline.
This tribute to the American soldier will take place prior to Veterans Day weekend
Saturday and Sunday, November 4th and 5th, at Tipton Haynes State
Historic Site, Johnson City. The event will run from
10 am to 4 pm daily,
is free and will feature battle re-enactments, weapons demos, military vehicles and more. There
are opportunities to visit displays of Soldiers in the Field with
representations from Revolutionary War to Modern Day. HELP US HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED BY KEEPING HISTORY ALIVE!

We encourage those attending the event, whether they are Veterans, family members or friends of Veterans, to help recognize their service and sacrifice by sharing their stories and memories with the Living Historians on site. These stories will become part of the WITB oral history serving as a tribute to these brave men and women for future generations.
